Finally, some decent weather! GR Christian’s coaches, clerk, staff, timers, and Starter did a fantastic job of hosting this meet. Wayland Union girls did a bang-up job in their first meet of the season with many of our newest, young stars having a great afternoon. Kylea Wells PR’d to a 5th finish in the 100 with a time of 13.96. Ella Martin, Hannah Damveld, Holly Jandernoa, and Samantha Sager also PR’d in the 100. Khylea Wells and Holly Jandernoa also PR’d in the 200. Corinna Courser won the event in a time of 28.17. She also won the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles! Metzli Cruz finished 6th in the Shot Put with a new PR, as did Katie Andrews. Cruz also PR’d in the Discus with a throw of 54’11.5″. Freshman, Sierra Greer, scored 3rd in the 400 with a time of 66.44. Maggie Whitney finished 2nd in the 800. Naomi Oosterhouse finished 3rd in the 3200 with a season-opening time of 13:30.31. Madelyn Probst took 2nd in the High Jump with a personal best of 4’6″. Autumn Gesink popped a nice long jump of 14’1 1/2″ to finish 3rd. Bre Pou finished 3rd in the Shot Put and Discus. It was a great day to be a Wildcat!
