Girls Varsity Bowling · Girls Varsity Bowling finishes 1st place at Conference Meet @ Park Center

  Place Points
Wayland High School 1st 0

Wayland Varsity locks in OK Gold-Conference Crown at the OK Conference tournament paralysing the nearest opponent by nearly 400 pins.

I heard the second place coaches commenting and shaking their heads by the landslide victory. This team is probably the best division 2 team on this side of the state. Tournaments have provided the best competition for the girls this year as we compete with division 1 teams as well.

Competing in yesterday’s final conference gig were:
Senior: Jessica Henderson 162
Senior: Makayla Konecny 116, 184, 122
Junior: Amber Beggs 135, 216
Junior: Mackenzie Banas 161, 178, 142
Senior: Marissa BruinsSlot 174, 157, 187
Senior: Sydney Urben 230, 214, 184 for a 628 series

Baker games: 170, 211, 151, 172

All Tournament team: Sydney Urben finished in first place and Marissa finished in 7th place. Just missing the top ten was MacKenzie Banas who finished 12th.

All Conference Team: Sydney Urben who topped the league with a 207 average while the nearest competitior had 184. Seventh place Marissa BruinsSlot with a 172 average, and Mackenzie Banas with a 170 average. Making Honorable Mention All Conference Team was Amber Beggs who had a 158 average.
