Tonight the Lady Cats stomped into Park Center Lanes determined to come back from a tough weekend. With a fierce twinkle in their eyes, they knew they had one job tonight. To take home a victory. And that is what they accomplished tonight winning 22-8. The lane conditions were different than what they are used to, but the feeling of defeat from Saturday was enough to spark a fire of motivation tonight.
We started off pretty slow and dreary with two bakers
111+158=269
This gave us 6 points to gain on Grand Rapids Christian who had 4 points from our slow beginning in the first Baker.
The ladies feared nothing. They knew what needed to be done tonight.
Amber Beggs bounced back from a tough injury to her thumb on Saturday. She has an exceptionally amazing attitude and is an extremely tough player. She bowled leadoff tonight in individuals with:
124+115=239
This may not seem like much, but after a difficult Saturday of Bowling I’m proud that she never once resorted to giving up.
Senior anchor Sydney Urben bowled high tonight with leading scores of
202+193=395, which helped her snag both of her points.
Junior Mackenzie Banas scored both of her points with:
174+146=320
Senior Marissa Bruinsslot got one of her points tonight with:
128+167=295
Senior Jessica Henderson also respectfully gained one of her points tonight with:
128+124=252
Although it is obvious we lacked in any super high scores tonight, it is evident that all girls came back for the win tonight as we also won 8 points for the winning total for both games with a 756, and 745.
These lady cats are a group of girls everyone should be proud of. They don’t like to lose. They don’t like to give up. They took Saturday and turned it into a learning moment. Although, we didn’t bowl amazing tonight as we all hoped to, we still refused to give in to a loss.
I was nothing less of confident that these girls gained resilience from a loss on Saturday, and I am even more confident after today that this team is something you shouldn’t glance past. We’ve got a lot of girls that know how to set their minds towards the win and accomplish it. Tonight paved way for a great winning streak I see to come. Wins always look great after a loss.
