Wildcats News · Coaches Corner – Nate Warsen

I first asked coach Warsen what made him want to start coaching basketball. Coach Warsen said he had a passion to help kids see their potential. What Coach Warsen  enjoys most about coaching basketball, are the relationships he builds with the players. My next question I asked Coach Warsen was if he has coached any college players. He said the college players who have came through Wayland that he has helped coached include Lacey James, Avery Hudson, Zack Nieuwkoop, and some others.

Coach Warsen played basketball at Unity Christian in high school. He has been coaching basketball for 9 years, and his first group of kids here at Wayland was with Craig Velting and that crew.

Lastly, I asked Coach Warsen what his favorite movie was and he said Hoosiers.
