Game Recap

On a rainy Homecoming, the Wildcats dropped a conference game to the Pioneers of East Grand Rapids. With 2 minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter, the game was tight with a score of 7-0. But a few costly plays by the Cats led to a 20-0 score at the half.

The Wildcats scored on a kickoff return from junior Caleb Wolf and a 25 yard pass from junior Carson Sevigny to junior Devin Jakey. Playing well defensively for the Cats were seniors Mason Miller and Ian Carpenter.

Meet Recap

Over 330 Middle School athletes showed up to run on the challenging Wayland Cross Country course yesterday! Wayland girls placed 4th out of 8 teams while the boys came in 6th out of 8 teams. Nearly every runner had either a personal best or their second fastest time of the season! This is extremely impressive considering the over half mile of up hills. Hard work always pays off and the teams proved that last night!

Game Recap

Wayland traveled to East Grand Rapids and battled the Pioneers. Lead by a ferocious defense, the Wildcats began the third quarter down 12-0 with the ball. It was not to be as the Cats fell 38-6 but, many bright spots included improved play from the Defensive backfield, eliminating big plays. The JV will be back in action during the final week of play, as a combined roster with the Freshman will take on Grand Rapids Christian next week.
