High School Athletics – 12/15/17

We will be conducting varsity practices only after school today.  The baseball meeting scheduled for after school is postponed.  Reminder, we are dismissing school 15 minutes early due to the weather.

The Varsity Boys Swim meet at Fremont is CANCELED today. The Freshman Boys Basketball game at NorthPointe Christian is still on as originally scheduled.

7th Grade A basketball week in review

The 7th grade boys A basketball team defeated Kenowa Hills on Monday. The boys used pressure defense to cause many turnovers which they turned into easy buckets. We also had some great outside shooting and they were tough on the boards as they gathered many rebounds. It was the best game they played thus far. The

Today’s home bowling match vs. EGR is canceled. The home cheer meet scheduled for tonight is still on and will start at 6:00. All practices will remain on as originally scheduled.  

8th Grade B basketball loses one at Kenowa Hills

The Wildcats took on the Knights tonite at Kenowa Hills. Wayland started fast with 2 quick baskets by Anthony Rohde, but had trouble getting the ball in the hoop, ending the first quarter down 10-4. The second quarter again started with good team defense, but nothing would fall. Halftime score 17-4. The second half began
