Game Recap

The Wayland Union Wildcats Varsity Baseball team traveled to Otsego for a non-conference double-header and defeated the host Bulldogs in game one by a score of 7-6. Picking up the win on the mound for the Wildcats was Chris Kincaid. Kincaid pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowing 4 runs (3 earned) on 3 hits, striking out 5 and walking 2. Carter Morse picked up the save on the mound, pitching 2 innings, allowing 0 runs on 1 hit while striking out 2 and walking none.

Leading the offensive attack for Wayland were Cam Ritz, Bradey Weston, Mitch Dykstra, and Carter Morse. Ritz was 1-for-2 with a double and 3 RBI’s. Weston was 1-for-2 with an RBI and run scored. Dykstra was 1-for-3 with an RBI, a run scored, and 2 stolen bases. Morse was 1-for-3 with 2 runs scored and stolen base.
