Allegan High School
Wayland High School
The Wildcats faced off Saturday morning against an unbeaten Allegan Tiger team and were very unfortunate to come away on the receiving end of a 2-0 defeat. Throughout the game, the Wildcat offense found good scoring chances, outshooting the visitors 10 to 5, but were unable to beat the Tiger keeper. A goal in each half for the visitors, and the inability to capitalize on good scoring opportunities ultimately cost the Wildcats their 7th win of the season and broke their streak of 5 straight games without a loss.
Rachel Wienclaw made 3 saves, facing only 5 shots on the night.
The loss brings the Wildcat record to 6-4 (5-2 OK Gold). The girls are back to conference play on Monday as they host local rivals from TK. Kickoff is at 6:00pm.
