Meet Recap

It was a beautiful night to run and jump and throw at Reed’s Lake tonight at the 6-Lane track of East Grand Rapids! McKenna Dutkiewicz had a fantastic afternoon taking 3rd in the Shot Put, with a PR of 28’1″ and a 1st in the disc with a PR of 83’5.25″. Brittany Ludwig tied for 3rd in the High Jump with a leap of 4’4″. Freshman, Asiia Sok, took 2nd in the Pole Vault. Savannah Van Houten ran a seasonal best of 1:02.04 in the 300 hurdles. The 4 x 100 team of Wells, Brown, Berends, and Ludwig ran a seasonal best of 58.46 while Smith, Sok, Belke, and Smith kept it close as the JV 4 x 100 ran a time of 62.75. Maggie Whitney blistered her previous best with a State Qualifying effort in the 800, taking 2nd place with a time of 2:22.52 while Zoe Antel ran an SR of 2:49.09. Khylea Wells took a 3rd in the 100 with a PR time of 14.44. She was followed by Kali Klein and Jessica Hortman…also with PRs. Hortman and Wells took 3rd and 4th in the 200 while Rybiski, Hasse, and Klein all ran PRs in the 400, all finishing within .35 of each other. The Wildcats travel west of US131 to participate in the Hopkins Invite on Saturday.
