Game Recap

The Wildcats came up just short last night in a conference home game vs Catholic Central. Despite going behind early, the girls responded quickly as Ashlyn Schafer (5th of the season) played a great ball through to Ali Cutler (6th of the season) who beat the goalie to tie the score before halftime.

The second half saw the Wildcats continue to dominate in possession and with chances to take the lead throughout the half. Unfortunately, a late goal conceded and some missed opportunities cost the home side in the end as they couldn’t find the back of the net.

Wayland outshot Catholic Central 9-5 in the match. Goalie, Paxton Granger, came up with 3 saves on 5 shots faced.

The loss brings the Wildcat’s record to 6-9-2 on the season (2-5 OK Gold)

The girls have their last regular season home game on Thursday as they host Hastings.
