Game Recap

The girls lost a heart breaker tonight on the road at Zeeland West 3-1. Brinley Nieuwenhuis scored the opening goal of the game 6 minutes in on a great pass by Madelyn Gray. The rest of the half was back and forth with both teams challenging to score the next goal. Unfortunately, it was Zeeland West who struck back and tied the score with 4 minutes remaining in the half.

The second half saw a quick penalty kick goal followed by a second goal from the field as Zeeland took a 3-2 lead early in the half. Wayland proceeded to dominate possession and chances but could not find the back of the net to get themselves back in the game.

The girls are back in action after spring break when they face off against Allendale on the road before beginning their conference schedule against South Christian at home.
