Game Recap

A Monday night matchup against local conference rivals from TK ended in defeat for the Wildcats as they fell by a score of 5-0 on the evening.

The game started well with both teams trading scoring chances and possession at times, but it was the Trojans who made the most of their opportunities and took a 1-0 lead into halftime. The home team were unfortunate not to have found the back of the net on a couple of good chances to even the score, but the TK keeper made two big saves to keep her team on top.

The second half was all TK as they put shot after shot on target, eventually following up a rebound and scoring their second goal of the match. A third goal not long after and the Wildcats struggled to regain their shape and momentum as the game wound down. Two more goals came late in the match to seal the deal for the visitors.

Keeper, Rachel Wienclaw, made 11 saves on the night bringing her total to 87 saves on the season for 81% save percentage.

The loss brings the Wildcat record to 6-5 (5-3 OK Gold). The girls are back in conference action on Wednesday night as they travel to conference leaders, South Christian. Kickoff at 6:45pm.
