Game Recap

The Wayland Union Wildcat Varsity Baseball team lost the opening game of their double-header to the Trojans of Middleville Thornapple-Kellogg by a score of 10-8. In a game full of mistakes by both defenses, the Trojans committed fewer mistakes, leading to the win. The Cats had the bases loaded with 2-outs in the top of the 7th, but a hard hit line drive by Ethan Wood was fielded to end the game.

Leading the offensive attack for the Wildcats in game one were Travis Cutler, Ethan Wood, and Chris Kincaid. Cutler was 3-for-4 with 2 runs scored, while Wood and Kincaid were both 2-for-4 with a run scored.
