Meet Recap

The boys from Wayland Union put up a good fight today in Regional action in Portage, finishing 11th, after being ranked 13th and 14th in the Region all season! Captain, Jonathan Zuiderveen, finished 19th, after qualifying for the Finals last year. His time of 17:30.0 was just .3 ahead of Freshman Phenom, Mitchell Hooker. Mitchell finished 20th and had a giant PR, running a time of 17:31.03. This made him the 2nd fastest Freshman in the race, overall! I expect big things from Mitchell in the next three years! Captain, Ethan Killips, ran an 18:59 to finish 3rd for the team and 67th overall. Junior, Gabe Attruia, finished 76th and finished 4th for the varsity in a PR of 19:24. Freshman, Ian Russell, finished 5th for the Wildcats, and PR’d with a time of 20:13, finishing 86th overall. Jarod Geerligs, finished 88th in a time of 20:28 while Garret Kloska finished 7th for the team and 98th overall, in a time of 22:37. Senior, Jacob Radmacher, ran the JV race and finished 106th in a time of 22:59. What a great season for the WILDCATS!!!
