Meet Recap

The Allegan County Meet took place at the Martin Speedway this afternoon in perfect running conditions. Because of some recent standing water on the course behind the starting line, and ruts caused by mowing, the course was extended 150 meters to avoid those areas. Jonathan Zuiderveen ran a fantastic race today, putting himself in the hunt from the get-go. He covered the course in 17:53 to finish 12th overall, making the Allegan All-County Team! Freshman, Mitchell Hooker, finished 21st in a time of 18:28. Captain, Ethan Killips ran 19:08 and finished 34th in a field of 87 runners. 1st year runner, Gabe Attruia, 11th grade, ran the course in a time of 19:44 to finish in 45th place. Finishing 50th, in a time of 19:54, Jarod Geerligs finished tonight’s race with a Lifetime Personal Record. Ian Russell just missed his PR by one second, running a time of 20:31, finishing 55th, on this extended course. Garret Kloska, finished 63rd, in a time of 21:17, with Jacob Jelsema right behind him in 21:31. Senior, Jacob Radmacher, ran another giant PR in a time of 22:04, beating his previous PR of 23:02. Rounding out our team tonight, was Steven Mosher, who finished 70th in a time of 22:11. It was an exciting night to race against the best in the Allegan County and I was very proud of Jonathan for making the All-County Team!
