Meet Recap

The Lady Wayland Wildcats ran very well today with everyone running either career best, season best and/or personal course best times on a perfect, albeit windy, fall day. Leading the Wildcats to a respectable 30th place out of 47 impressive teams was senior captain Emily Gray with a season record 20:30, closing in on her career best time of 19:50. Coming in 2nd for the Wildcats was freshman Rylee Cronkkright, who posted another career best time of 21:10. Following close behind was a nice pack of Kaitlyn Paul (21:20), Zoe Antel (21:20) and Emily Isenhoff with a career best time of 21:29. Improving her season best time was Sydney Hielkma (22:34), followed by Abbie Hasse who eclipsed her previous course record time by nearly 4 minutes with a 23:23.

The Wildcat junior varsity girls also ran well. Led by Payton Sidebotham who posted a season record time of 22:56, posting personal best times were Gracie Hasse (22:59), Corrina Courser (24:09), Kennedy Thelen (25:54), Elena Campon (25:59), Grace Chandler (27:28) and Kaitlyn Good (28:51). Running a season best time was Brittany Ludwig (24:03).
