Meet Recap

The Wildcats took 4th of 9 teams today at the Cedar Springs Invitational. Today, was the perfect weather day for cross country running! Earning medals today were: Jonathan Zuiderveen finishing 6th (17:38), Freshman Mitchell Hooker finishing 9th, dipping for the first time in the seventeens, in 17:55 and Ethan Killips earned his first Varsity medal finishing 24th in a time of 19:23! He was followed by Garret Kloska (PR of 20:34), Ian Russell with another big chunk of time off (21:06), Jacob Jelsema with a hugh PR of 21:10, and Jarod Geerligs taking 42nd in 21:11. I’m encouraged by the grouping and we are working hard to sneak under 20 minutes, soon. Earning medals in the JV race was Steven Mosher, finishing 16th, and taking a minute off, in a time of 21:09, and Gabe Attruia in 18th, crushing his previous time by over a minute finishing in 21:39. Jacob Radmacher battled to 28th place with a time of 23:42. These guys have already come a long way this season and I expect we’ll keep improving with continued hard work. I’m so proud!!! What a great day to be a WILDCAT!
